AI Assistant “Amber” is LIVE in Beta, Bringing Click-to-Deploy Amazon Insights
“Amber”, the AI-powered assistant for e-commerce brands to optimize their product listing, is now in beta
Detroit, Michigan, August 2nd, 2021: An AI-powered assistant named “Amber” by the software firm, Amber Engine, is now in beta. Amber provides insights for brands selling on Amazon.
E-commerce retail saw an almost 28% boom in 2020 (from $3.35 trillion to $4.28 trillion). The reasons are easy to imagine, with repeated lockdowns, shuttered storefronts, and closed borders restricting in-store shopping.
This shift to e-commerce became so rooted so quickly that now, there’s no turning back. Consumers surveyed have said that they prefer to continue shopping online (57% prefer online, versus 31% in-store).
Through a combination of “direct-to-consumer” (D2C) marketplaces like Amazon, social selling, and proprietary e-commerce websites, the buyer journey rapidly became more complicated for brands and manufacturers.
Helping brands manage products competitively on Amazon first, and later, other marketplaces, the AI-powered assistant “Amber” predicts what to update in product listings to more effectively merchandise products in an increasingly ambitious (and growing) market.
New AI-Powered Marketing in E-commerce
E-commerce brands are turning increasingly to AI to eliminate guesswork and zero-in on more important data in their marketing efforts. The competition on Amazon has become particularly fierce, and AI-powered tools like Amber are responding to new business needs.
The trend is clear:
- An estimated 75% of commercial enterprise apps now use AI
- 59% of organizations consider the “shortage of data science talent” the primary barrier to benefiting more from available data
- 75% of brand and retail executives fear going out of business if they don’t scale AI
D2C brands new to e-commerce, without the resources to employ data analysts in particular, need AI to play the role of so many data analysts that the multi-billion-dollar companies already have.
Amber AI was designed to give brands real-time insights into exactly what to improve or change in their product listings and product images.
“A common question our team has around optimizing content is - how do we know, and with confidence, what works best?” said Brittany VanDenBerg, Director of Marketing and Business Development, HomeStar America and beta tester of Amber AI. “Amber AI is an incredible tool that enables companies without the data resources to make strategic content marketing decisions based on data and not guess work. It takes something that seems daunting to many and breaks it down to provide sku specific suggestions that you can implement with a button click. For smaller teams especially, this tool would be an incredible asset in navigating the vast e-comm world.”
New-Gen PIM and Amber Combined
Amber is the new AI tool by Amber Engine, a software company dedicated to e-commerce. The company’s existing product information management software (PIM) aggregates and organizes product data (sometimes tens of thousands of SKUs) in a cloud-based repository so that brands can manage product information and digital assets across departments and sales channels. Amber Engine's PIM combined with Amber delivers brands intelligent optimization predictions for product listing data, making them more competitive in modern e-commerce.
Amber also provides insights such as real-time reports on the top 100 competitors in a brand’s category. Whatever the competition is doing, Amber’s algorithms rapidly learn from what’s working and what’s not to recommend a proven strategy.
The innovative application of AI machine learning to create the proprietary Amber AI assistant is the fruit of a partnership between Amber Engine and Junction AI. Junction AI specializes in harnessing brand and user generated content for revenue generating insights on what works and why for ecommerce advertising and product marketing.
Amber AI is officially in a limited beta and is free to a limited number of customers. Brands can learn more about participating as a beta tester on the Amber Engine website.
